Hi Wu/NG,<p>   Here is my another problem:<br>   I've converted a Clipper's dbf to Access's MDB for vb6, and<br>the Ref_No is a 5 digit text field. Access will not allow to<br>reset its property as auto-number field if it has data on it.<br>I have no problem to get it incrementing 1 for a new record, but<br>the left most 0 has suppressed. For instance, the last Ref_No<br>is 01234[after converted from dbf to mdb], the new Ref_No shall <br>be 01235 [from Vb]. But I displays and saves as 1235 instead of 01235. <br>How can I control the left most 0? Any code sample will be <br>greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!<p>WCW NG
