The SerialICE Monitor (running on the 
SerialICE Controller) and the 
SerialICE Kernel
(running on the Target) 
communicate via 
a standard RS-232 serial link.
It is possible to configure the SerialICE Kernel to use either a standard
UART (or DUART), or LSI Logic's SerialICE Port core. The SerialICE Port core has the
advantage that it takes up no Target board area.

Please note that the connection between the SerialICE Controller's B port and the
Target's A port must be made using a null modem cable.
