Sanitize your hard drive, pen drive, flash drive, zip drive, floppy
drive or any magnetic/flash drive including digital camera cards with
the power of Wipe It. Don't let your important data fall into the
wrong hands. Many make the mistake of just deleting files. Others
shred their files, but is that really good enough? The answer is no!
You must sanitize your drives about once a month to ensure lost file
fragments can never be recovered. The process of sanitizing a drive
or flash drive means overwriting each track several times to erase
the data that was previously there. Wipe It also caps off remaining
sectors and reconditions the drive - nothing will come back to haunt
you. Sanitizing a drive using Wipe It ensures that deleted files can
never be recovered and when it's time to replace the drive - nothing
will come back to haunt you.

Wipe It does not delete, shred or otherwise harm your existing files!

Wipe It works with all magnetic and flash drives including FAT12,
FAT16, FAT32, AND NTFS drives. Wipe It can also be used to sanitize
your removable disks or flash drives so the information can never
be recovered at a later time. If you take sensitive data back and
forth to work, then Wipe It can and will come in handy.


Getting Started:

Wipe It is very easy to use. Simply select the drive you want to
sanitize and click the begin button. To sanitize a flash drive,
camera memory stick or removable drive you must first insert the
device before running Wipe It. For most digital cameras you can
safely run Wipe It just after you download your image files to
your computer. Wipe It is SAFE to use. It will NOT delete any of
your existing files. The files which were previously deleted
(erased) leave behind a trace of the original file which can be
used to re-construct those files. In some cases the whole file is
left behind even if you shred it. Wipe It removes ONLY those
remnants so deleted files can never be reconstructed. During the
process Wipe It also reconditions the drive to help increase
performance and to expand the life of the drive.


The process of sanitizing your hard drive means overwriting
each track several times to erase the data that was there
previously. Depending on the amount of free space Wipe It must
sanitize, the process can take up to an hour for large drives,
or just over a few minutes for a small floppy drive. Times may
vary depending on the speed of the drive and processor. The
easy to use graphical interface displays every step of the
process and even calculates the time remaining so you know just
how long it going to take.

Before using Wipe It, close all running programs, disconnect
from the internet, and if you are running a virus utility
you may need to close it until Wipe It has finished.
