Pad++ is a zoomable graphical interface we are exploringas an alternative to traditional window and icon-based approaches tointerface design. We are building the interface substrate and aredeveloping applications based on this technology in areas as diverseas Web browsing, long-distance collaboration, and education forchildren. The successful candidtate for this position will be anessential part of our team, programming substrate and applications,evaluating software, working with students, and writing papers. Formore information, see http://www.cs.unm.edu/pad++.<H3>Minimum Requirements</H3>B.S. in Computer Science or related field and three years directlyrelated experience, or a M.S. degree in Computer Science or relatedfield and two years directly related experience.<H3>Department Specifications</H3>Required: None<BR>Desired: Expert with C/C++ and Tcl/Tk. World-class programmingabilities, interest in interface design, and ability to program withstyle, grace and speed. Experience with UNIX, programming X graphics,programming graphical computer interfaces, and graphic design.Excellent written and oral communication skills.
