Cox</h1><h3>Assistant Professor</h3><h3>Department of Computer Science </h3><hr><p>Prof. Cox received the B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1986, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of Rochester in 1988 and 1992, respectively.<p>Since then he has been an assistant professorin the <!WA0><a href = "http://www.cs.rice.edu/">Computer Science Department</a>at <!WA1><a href = "http://www.rice.edu/">Rice University</a>.His research interests include parallel processing, computer architecture, distributed systems, concurrent programming,and performance evaluation.<p>He is currently involved in the design and implementation of <!WA2><a href = "http://www.cs.rice.edu/CS/Systems/software/treadmarks.html">TreadMarks</a>, a software distributed shared memory system running on a network of workstations.He has also worked with Alejandro Schaffer on<!WA3><a href="http://www.cs.rice.edu/~schaffer/fastlink.html"> FASTLINK</a>,a project to provide fast sequential and parallel genetic linkage analysissoftware.<!WA4><a href = "http://www.cs.rice.edu/~alc/publications.html"><h3> Publications</h3></a><hr><p>E-Mail: alc@rice.edu</body></html>⌨️ 快捷键说明
