Prof Sreejit Chakravarty graduated with a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics 
Engineering from Brila Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India in 
1980. He was a Development Engineer at Tata Electric Cos Research and 
Development Laboratories, Bombay, India for a year. He completed an M.S. in 
Computer Science
from The State University of New York at Stonybrook in 1983 and a PhD in
Computer Science from The State University of New York at Albany in 1986.
He is currently an Associate Professor of Computer Science at The State
University of New York at Buffalo.<P>

His research interests includes 
	<!WA3><A HREF="http://www.cs.buffalo.edu/pub/WWW/faculty/sreejit/research">Design Automation</A> problems
for Synthesizing and Testing VLSI Circuits, Fault Tolerant Architectures 
and Parallel Algorithms.<P>

Professor Chakravarty served as the General Chair of the 1995 IEEE Great Lakes
Symposium in VLSI. He is a member of the organizing committee of
IEEE VLSI Test Symposium and IEEE Int'l Conference on VLSI Design and on the 
Technical Program Committee of IEEE Great Lakes Symposium on
VLSI, IEEE VLSI Test Symposium and IEEE Int'l Conference on VLSI Design.
