He receivedhis Phd degree in Electrical and Computer Engineeringfrom the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. ShreeNayar heads the <!WA3><AHREF="http://www.cs.columbia.edu/CAVE">Columbia Automated VisionEnvironment (CAVE)</A> at the Center for Research on IntelligentSystem. His research interests are in computational vision,real-time sensors, pattern recognition, robotics, computer graphics, andvirtual worlds.
