LeBlanc, Jr. received the B.S. degree in physics from LouisianaState University in 1972 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computersciences from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1974 and 1977,respectively. He is a Professor and the Associate Dean of the <!WA1><A HREF=http://www.cc.gatech.edu/Computing.html> College of Computing </A> of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he has been a faculty member since January, 1978.<P>Dr. LeBlanc's research interests include software engineering,programming language design and implementation, and programmingenvironments. Most of his research work, particularly that associatedwith the Clouds Project, has involved application of these interestsin distributed computing systems. He is also interested inspecification-based software development methodologies and tools.Prof. LeBlanc has served as a technical consultant to industry on theAda language and Ada compilation techniques.
