Concentrating on theintersection of operating systems, database systems, and programminglanguages. Working on extensibility technology and support for the VINOoperating system, as well as hacking together process and thread support forVINO. Advisor is Dr. Margo Seltzer. Graduation expected mid-1997. Anacademic job is my first choice at the moment, but I'm flexible. Otherrandom small research projects on the side. </p><p>Spent ten years in industry before starting the PhD program. Mostly atstartups, working on the first commercial object database at what isnow called <!WA9><a href="http://www.ontos.com"> Ontos</a>, on a blue-skydistributed object-oriented persistent heterogeneous developmentplatform (and started the On Location project) at an earlierincarnation of <!WA10><a href="http://www.on.com"> ON Technology</a>, and on<!WA11><a href="http://www.coordinate.com/bmail"> BeyondMail</a> at BeyondInc. (since purchased by Banyan).
