This model is an 8-ary modulator/demodulator based on Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM).

You can change the Eb/N0 parameter in the "AWGN Channel" block to see the effect of the channel noise on the demodulated signal while the simulation is running. 

The input is a sinusoid with a frequency of 1 Hz.
