About

Apollo is an minimalistic, highly functional MP3 player front end to mpg123.
We'd like it to meet all our music playing needs, so this is not the final
version.  It is written for Qt 2.x, but is compatible with Qt 3.x.  Apollo was
written for Linux, but it may run on other unices as well, and we're planning to
make it work under MS Windows.  Apollo has been reported to work on FreeBSD.
Please let us know if you've compiled it on some other system than Linux.

Much of the inspiration behind Apollo is drawn from the now discontinued free
Windows player with the same name by Heikki Ylinen.  You can find its resting
place on the net at http://apollo.audiogalaxy.com.

The official Apollo releases can be found at http://download.apolloplayer.org.
Alternatively, you can download the latest source code directly via anonymous
CVS:

    cvs -d:pserver:[e-mail]:/cvsroot/apolloplayer login

password is the empty string, so just press enter.

    cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[e-mail]:/cvsroot/apolloplayer co src


License

Apollo is distributed under the GNU GPL license.  There should be a file named
GPL in the same directory as this file containing the license.  Alternatively,
you can read it at http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html
