This structure is used by <AHREF="sdlopenaudio.html"><TTCLASS="FUNCTION">SDL_OpenAudio</TT></A> and <AHREF="sdlloadwav.html"><TTCLASS="FUNCTION">SDL_LoadWAV</TT></A>. While all fields are used by <TTCLASS="FUNCTION">SDL_OpenAudio</TT> only <TTCLASS="STRUCTFIELD"><I>freq</I></TT>, <TTCLASS="STRUCTFIELD"><I>format</I></TT>, <TTCLASS="STRUCTFIELD"><I>samples</I></TT> and <TTCLASS="STRUCTFIELD"><I>channels</I></TT> are used by <TTCLASS="FUNCTION">SDL_LoadWAV</TT>. A sample a chunk of audio data of the size specified in <TTCLASS="PARAMETER"><I>format</I></TT> mulitplied by the number of channels.
