I suggested we provide the book's chapters in Adobe Acrobat file format so that the book would be accessible in electronic form and they jumped all over it.<P>Although not the way I'd generally like to read a book, at least this is an attempt to provide you with easy access to this information in the event you find yourself traveling and you don't want to haul a heavy book with you. This is an experiment in trust by IDG Books and myself. Please help us avoid piracy/copyright issues by not copying and distributing these files. You paid good money for this book and I worked my tail off to write it. If you know of it being illegally copied, report the offender(s) to <a href="http://www.idgbooks.com">IDG Books Worldwide</a>. Hopefully this experiment will pay off and IDG will distribute more of their books in both printed and electronic format.<HR><H2>Step 1: Install Adobe Acrobat Reader</h2>So that these chapters have the same formatting as the printed version, we chose to use Adobe Acrobat. If you are a UNIX user you will need to visit <a href="http://www.adobe.com">Adobe's website</a> to get the UNIX version of Acrobat Reader. If you're running Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or Windows NT 4.0, 5.0, then you can <a href="../apps/acrobat/ar32e301.exe">install Acrobat Reader 3.01</a> directly from this CD-ROM (select <I>Run this program from its current location</i> to install).<P><h2>Step 2: Read the Book</h2>The book is provided to you in Acrobat format.
