A document attached to a Binder can either be stored in it, or only referenced by it, meaning that only a reference to the document is kept in the Binder, and that the document is actually stored in another content repository. </p> <p> The class <code>Binder</code> represents the electronic binder manipulated by the API. Instances of it can be obtained by using the <A HREF="../../../../../com/ibm/content/binder/service/BinderPortletService.html" title="interface in com.ibm.content.binder.service"><CODE>BinderPortletService</CODE></A>.
