XML::Parser Styles</h2><dl><a name="INDEX-1842" /><a name="INDEX-1843" /><dt><i>Debug</i></dt><dd>Prints out the document in outline form.</p></dd><a name="INDEX-1844" /><dt><i>Subs</i></dt><dd> Allows you to define a subroutine so that when an element isencountered, the subroutine by that name is called, using the sameparameters that the Start handler is called with. When an elementends, a subroutine with that name appended with an underscore("_") is called with the sameparameters that the End handler is called with.</p></dd><a name="INDEX-1845" /><dt><i>Tree</i></dt><dd>Returns a parse tree for the document. Each node in the tree takesthe form of a tag/content pair. Text nodes use a pseudo-tag of``0''and the string that is their content. Elements represent theircontent in an array reference, in which the first item in the arrayis a hash reference containing attributes (if any). The remainder ofthe array is a sequence of tag/content pairs representing the contentof the element.</p></dd><a name="INDEX-1846" /><dt><i>Objects</i></dt><dd>Similar to Tree, except that a hash object is created for eachelement.</p></dd><a name="INDEX-1847" /><dt><i>Stream</i></dt><dd>Prints a copy of the document without comments or declarations ifnone of the following routines are found:</p><dl><dt><b><tt class="literal">StartDocument</tt></b></dt><dd>Called at the start of the parse.</p></dd><dt><b><tt class="literal">StartTag</tt></b></dt><dd>Called for every start tag with a second parameter of the elementtype. The <tt class="literal">$_</tt> variable contains a copy of the tag,and the <tt class="literal">%_</tt> variable contains attribute valuessupplied for that element.</p></dd><dt><b><tt class="literal">EndTag</tt></b></dt><dd>Called for every end tag with a second parameter of the element type.The <tt class="literal">$_</tt> variable will contain a copy of the endtag.</p></dd><dt><b><tt class="literal">Text</tt></b></dt><dd>Called just before start or end tags with accumulated non-markup textin the <tt class="literal">$_</tt> variable.</p></dd><dt><b><tt class="literal">PI</tt></b></dt><dd>Called for processing instructions.
