The flush command flushes the data and/or instruction cache.<p>

The format for the flush command is:<p>

<pre>
flush [-di]
</pre>

where:<p>

<table><tr><td>
-d	</td><td>flushes the data cache only.

</tr></td><tr><td>
-i	</td><td>flushes the instruction cache only.
</tr></td></table><p>

Entering flush without any parameters flushes both caches.<p>

</dl><h2>Functional Description</h2><dl><dd>

The flush command performs a hard flush of the data and/or instruction 
cache. All entries will be flushed, even those that had been locked.<p>
