Installation:

No software drivers needed.  Just plug into the computers with UNIX( Linux ) 
installed.  The CitiROM card use the default CD-ROM( ATAPI ), Floppy( ATAPI,
LS120 ), HDD( ATA ) and Card/Socket services.  Make sure those drivers listed
above are installed in the system before using the CitiROM card.  
Setup the Hard Disk Drive and/or CD-ROM Drive kits as explained in the user 
manual.  When card is inserted, UNIX shall prompt you the message like:

  hde:  Maxtor 7850, 814M w/64B cache, LBA, CHS=1654/16/63 for Hard Disk
  hdf:   Hitachi CDR-7730, ATAPI CD-ROM  for CD-ROM   and
  ide2:  0x150-0x157, 0x356 on  irq 3 for CitiROM adapter

Additional CitiROM card recognition message shall be also displayed if 
multiple CitiROM card are inserted.

Usage:

The UNIX operating system supports the PLUG-PLAY feature. 

For Hard Disk Drives preparation, go to shell:
 1.  If the Hard Disk is already prepared or CD-ROM or Floppy( LS120 ) 
	 installed, go to item 6; otherwise, do 2 to 5 to prepare the disk.
 2.  Type in "fdisk /dev/hde", UNIX shall prompt you the selections
 3.  Use "n" for "create partition".  Upto 4 partitions per Hard Disk can 
 	 be created.   Use "p" for Primary partition.  And, enter the size of 
	 for each partition you want to be.
 4.  Use "w" for writing the partition information onto the Hard Disk.

 5.  Now you need to specify the file system type one the Hard Disk for each 	
     partition.  Possibly, each partition shall be named as "/dev/hde1", 
	 "/dev/hde2" upto 	"/dev/hde4".
 	 Type in "mkfs /dev/hde1 -t xxx" to specify file system type.
		xxx:  ext2 for UNIX, msdos for DOS, vfat for Windows95
6.   Mount the file system by typing:
    "mkdir /mycdrom" or "mkdir /myhdd" or "mkdir /myflp" to create a symbolic
	link.
	"mount /dev/hde1 /myhdd -t xxx" for Hard Disk.
	"mount /dev/hde1 /myflp -t xxx" for Floppy. 
	"mount /dev/hdf  /mycdrom -t  yyy" for CD-ROM

	"myhdd" is the new directory name you like to be for Hard Disk.
	"mycdrom" is the new directory name you like to be for CD-ROM.
	"myflp" is the new directory name you like to be for Floppy.
	"xxx" is the file system type on the disk
	"yyy" is the CD-ROM recording standard you want.  It can be either 				"iso9660" or "rockridge" standards.  Most PC user select the ISO9660.

Now the Hard Disk Drive or CD-ROM is/are ready to use.

7.  When changing the cartridge for Removal Hard Disk or changing the disc for 	
	CD-ROM use:
	"umount /dev/hde1 /myhdd -t xxx" for Hard Disk.
	"umount /dev/hde1 /myflp -t xxx" for Floppy.
	"umount /dev/hdf   /mycdrom -t yyy" for CD-ROM.
	and
	re-mount the new cartridge and/or disc following the instruction item 6.

8.  Before unplug the CitiROM card, you need to dismount the Hard Disk and/or 	
    CD-ROM drives by following the instruction on item 7.
