No round trip is forced to the server; unlike most X calls that return a value, <STRONG>glXGetContextIDEXT</STRONG> does not flush any pending events. <STRONG>glXGetContextIDEXT</STRONG> is part of the <STRONG>EXT_import_context</STRONG> extension, not part of the core GLX command set.
