Configuring the BSPThis BSP can be configured either via config.h or by using the T2project facility. This section gives guidance on both methods. 6.1 config.h Configuration In this method, all modifications are done to config.h and the desired images are built in the BSP directory using the command line. Be sure you are including/excluding components appropriately before attempting to build any image. After editing config.h the following command is required to be executed in the command line window: "$(WIND_BASE)\host\$(WIND_HOST_TYPE)\bin\torVars.bat in Windows or "$(WIND_BASE)\host\$(WIND_HOST_TYPE)\bin\torVars.sh in Unix. Next, be sure you are in the BSP directory. If not, cd to "$(WIND_BASE)\target\config\wrSbc7410". At this point, you can issue a make command for the target that you want to build. For example, "make bootrom.hex" to build bootrom.hex or "make vxWorks" to build vxWorks. 6.2 Project Facility Configuration This BSP can be configured through the project facility. Follow the directions in the Tornado User's Guid on creating a workspace and then a bootable project. When creating the project be sure to select either wrSbc7410_gnu or wrSbc7410_diab as the project to base the bootable project on. Although it is possible to base the bootable project on the BSP, it is not recommended. After your project has been created you can go to the vxWorks tab to configure the kernel for the bootable project. Go to the hardware->BSP configuration variants folder to configure BSP specific components. The following briefly describes each of the BSP specific components. Flash - includes flash driver support. GT64260 timer timestamp - includes GT64260 timestamp driver. L2 caching - turns on L2 caching. LXT972 MII interrupts - enables MII interrupts. Should be disabled. PCI Standalone mode - configure BSP for standalone mode. PCI Support - includes custom BSP PCI support. PCI in backplane mode - configure BSP for CPCI backplane mode. PPC dectimer timestamp - includes decrementer timestamp support. Strataflash MTD - includes custom Strataflash MTD supporting multiple volumes. System timestamp - turns on BSP custom system timestamping. TFFS volume 0 - includes 8 MB TFFS volume. TFFS volume 1 - includes 4 MB TFFS volume. Requires vol0. TFFS volume 2 - includes 2 MB TFFS volume. Requires vol0/1. TFFS volume 3 - includes 1 MB TFFS volume. Required vol0/1/2. wancomend - includes GT64260 ethernet end driver. wrSbc7410 parameters - summarizes BSP configurable parameters. Configure the rest of the kernel as desired and build the bootable project from the 'Builds' tab..SS "BOOT DEVICES"The supported boot device(s) is(are):.CS fei - 100\10BaseT Ethernet wancom - 100\10BaseT Ethernet (GT6420 fast ethernet ports) tffs - True Flash File System.CE.SH "FEATURES"This section describes the support and unsupported features of the wrSbc7410.SS "Supported Features".PPThe supported features of the wrSbc7410 board are: 7400/7410 processors with the AltiVec extension.
