                Changing Things

   In this tutorial we will cover the following
topics:

   (1) Changing the number of buyers and sellers.

   (2) Changing the transmission capacities.

   (3) Mass and individual editing of he buyers
       and sellers.

           Getting The Edit Screens.

   Editing the transmission capacities and number of
buyers and sellers is done with the Transcap entry
of the Edit menu.  Editing of the individual buyers
and sellers is done with the Buyers and Sellers
entries, respectively, of the Edit menu.

   Use the Transcap entry of the Edit menu to pull
up the editing screen for transmission capacities.

          Using the Transcap Editor

   The number of buyers and sellers are controlled
by the sliders in the lower left corner.  Use these
sliders to reset to eight buyers and sellers.  There
are three buttons: Done exits the editor.  Reset
puts everything back to the way it began - 6 buyers
and sellers and a uniform Transcap of 10.  The
"uniform" button sets all the transmission
capacities to the value of the slider below it.

   The entries of the transmission capacity grid
can be individually clicked and edited.  The
entries of the grid are capacities from seller to
buyer.  Users should be careful not to
accidentally create economic bottlenecks.

                Editing Buyers

   Use the Buyers entry of the Edit menu to get the
Buyers editor.  There are three sliders that can be
used with their accompanying "Set All" buttons to
give all Buyers the same megawatts to buy, revenue
per megawatt, and fixed cost.  The done button exits
the editor.  The reset genes button resets the buyers
genes (but not the sellers).  The random genes button
generates random genes if they are needed for
experimentation.  (Continued)

   The rows of the data matrix describe the
individual buyers and, except for the last
column, may be clicked and edited.  The last
column is derived from the gene; edited values
will be ignored.  Entering patently absurd
values in any cell will cause problems.
