Interaction SIP Proxy Release Notes for Version 2.0.010 November 4, 2004
Changes in 2.0.010
1. Fixed an XML encoding bug that improperly escaped server plan names that contained
&, ", or < characters.
2. Expanded the Test Pattern dialog to display more information about the results of
running the test pattern through the dial plan.
3. Fixed exception when config or cache XML files are in use and can't be opened for
writing. The exception caused the proxy to stop processing SIP messages and leak
memory.
Changes in 2.0.009
1. Install program would remove all files during an upgrade or install if it failed
to register the proxy as a service in the final steps.
Changes in 2.0.008
1. Added Record-Route capability for Advanced version only.
2. Added support for RFC 3581 Symmetric Response Processing.
Changes in 2.0.007
1. When Registration routing is disabled, the proxy will proxy registrations
to the servers in the server plan associated with the Forward REGISTERs configuration.
Changes in 2.0.006
1. SIP Parser converts Date headers from GMT to UT
2. Simultaneous registrations could cause a deadlock
3. (Advanced only) Added a configuration parameter to enable continous monitoring of
all servers in the server plans rather than when a server fails to accept a call. For smaller
installations, this option will provide a more real-time account of a servers status.
Changes in 2.0.005
1. (Advanced only) Servers in the server plan are monitored for their status
at startup rather than when a call fails to route to it.
2. Improved the Test Pattern funon the Routing tab. Numbers entered are automatically converted
to SIP addresses. The output shows where the match was found, registration or static
route.
3. (Advanced only) A list of aliases can be associated with a user defined on the authorization
page. When a user registers and passes the authentication challenge then all aliases will
be associated with the registration for that user.
4. Added page controls on the Registration and Server status pages. If the list of registered
devices or servers grows large then the web page will display them in groups with links
5. Added search functions on the Registration and Server status pages.
6. Fixed a bug in the web server that caused excessive logging when more than 10 browser
sessions were active at the same time. This bug could also cause the web server to not respond
to web browsers.
Changes in 2.0.004
1. Fixed a bug where the licensed network interface might not be the interface
used in the SIP messages. This only affected servers with multiple NIC cards.
2. Fixed a false loop detection bug where the proxy would not route messages to
the same IP address as the proxy itself, even if the port number was different.
It's possible to have the same machine run 2 or more applications bound to
different ports.
3. Fixed a bug where the SIP parser was rejecting messages that had an empty
Supported header, which is a valid value.
4. Fixed a bug that caused false loop detections if the next hop was an application
on the same IP as the proxy but a different port. This is now allowed.
Changes in 2.0.003
1. Added retry on 480, 5xx, and 6xx features to advanced version only. These
settings cause the proxy to move to the next target for an INVITE request
when the current target returns a 480, 5xx or 6xx response code. This feature
can be enabled or disabled independantly for each response code group.
Changes in 2.0.002
1. Registration routing was not functioning if the Request-Uri contained
any user attributes, for example, user=phone. The registration would
succeed, however, the Proxy was unable to route INVITE's when addressed
to the registered device.
