And actually I'm not even sure, if the name is right ...

Anyway, it is a shedding-type card game played by 4 sets of 52-card decks.

Dealing

Every player starts with 7 cards in his hand. The remaining ones are put into the deck.

A randomly selected player starts the game; the others start the next ones in turn.

Playing

In the beginning of the turn the player takes a card from the deck (this happens automatically).
Then he can put down "matching" cards — either making a new pile on the table or adding cards to existing piles — and that way get rid of its cards. "Matching" means that either the numbers must be equal (independend of the colour, but each colour only once) or the colour and the numbers are in a sequence (Ace (as one), two, three, ..., ten, jack, queen, king, ace).

For that he can also use cards from existing piles, re-sort them however he likes, build new piles (even with cards from existing piles) - in a nutshell doing as he likes, as long as at the end of its turn all piles have at least 3 cards and follow the rules above.

The cards are played and/or sorted with drag and drop1.
If the player can't or won't continue, follows the next player still having cards (counter-clockwise). This end of the turn is indicated by clicking in the (accordingly named) button or in the pile of the reserve.

The last player still having cards loses.

The status line gives some information about what's going on!

Note to the layout

After starting a game you have (from left to right and from top to bottom):

The deck: A heap of cards (with face down), from where you take up new cards (if you put the mouse over it you are informed about the remaining cards).

The cards of the player. Presorted by colour, but re-sortable with drag and drop1 or	the menu.

The piles on the table. Cards can be added to that piles with drag und drop1 (if it is the turn of the player). Note that both cards from the hand of the player as cards already on the table can be moved.

In the last row are the cards of the other players.

1) Drag and drop means clicking with the a mouse button on the card, holding the button and then dragging the card to its destination. The end of this activity is signaled by releasing the button.

            Markus Schwab (g17m0@lycos.com)

Previous
(Hearts)

Cardgames

Next
(Røvhult)
