I can't even remember if they told me the original name, but if they should have done, I forgot it faster than George W. Bush needs to say his next bullshit (or start a war).

The game is splitted in two parts (hence the name; I'm obviously not very imaginative).

Dealing

In the first part every player starts with tree cards in his hand which they play counter-clockwise. The remaining cards are put in the deck.

A randomly selected player starts the game.

Playing

First part

In every turn each player puts down one card (of whatever number and colour) and takes another one from the deck. The one who played the highest card (regardless of the colour) wins them all. If there is more than one card with the same number (not neccessaily the highest one), the people who played the equal cards continue playing (according to the rules above) for the whole pile as long as there are equal cards.

Should there be equal cards, but one of the players runs out of cards, he is out and only the others can continue. Should all of the peple with equal cars run out of cards, the one who played the first (equal) card, wins the pile.

The person who wins the pile starts the next round; except if he has no card left, in which case the next player having cards continues.

The colour of the last card of the staple defines the trump for part two; this card is demonstrated after the end of the round.

The first part ends, if no player has any cards left. If a player didn't collect any cards, he gets all the low cards up to (including) 5 from the others; if there are two or more of such unlucky creatures, they share the stuff (more or less randomly).

Second part

In part two the players try to get rid of the previously collected cards.

The player having won the first part starts by putting a card (or a sequence of cards with the same colour if you select the right-most card of the sequence to play).

The others continue by playing higher cards of the same colour as the last card on the played pile. Alternatively any trump card can be played (of course a bigger one, if the last played card is also a trump).

If a player can (or will) not continue, he must pick up all the cards the last player had played.

A turn ends if as many (series of) cards have been played as there have been players with cards left at the beginning of the turn. The played pile is cleared and the same (the last) player can start a new round (if he has cards left; else the next one with cards).

The last player having cards left has lost.

The status line gives some information about what's going on!

Note to the layout

After starting a game you have (from left to right and from top to bottom):

The deck: A heap of cards (with face down), from where you put up new cards (if you put the mouse over it you are informed about the number of remaining cards). In part two the colour of the trump is shown there.

The cards of the human player. The won cards (above) can be revised by clicking into them; right-clicking allows to sort them.

In the next line there's the same with players 1 and 3. In between them there's the played pile (which also shows the number of the cards inside, is the mouse rests over it).

In the last line there're the cards of player 2

Markus Schwab (g17m0@lycos.com)

Previous
(Sgt.
