This involves spawning children as required to ensure there are always <code class="directive"><a href="../mod/mpm_common.html#startservers">StartServers</a></code> processes accepting connections.</p> <p>Each child process consists of a a pool of worker threads and a main thread that accepts connections and passes them to the workers via a work queue.
