Fields containing complex data are not supported yet. If _f_i_l_e._f_e_a is "-", the standard input is read. By default, the output is in Unix GPS (``Graphics Primitive String'') format and is displayed on the graphics display, but with the ---- TTTT option, this may be sent to the standard output, obtained in Tektronix format rather than GPS, or plotted on an Imagen laser printer. If the ----rrrr option is omitted, then the named _f_i_e_l_d is plotted from the first record of _f_i_l_e._f_e_a. _P_l_o_t_f_i_e_l_d finds the maximum and minimum values of the points to be plotted and computes appropriate scales for the _x- and _y-axes. These automatic values can be overriden by the ----yyyy or ----YYYY options. The color and line style of output to ``gps'' or ``mcd'' depend on the environment variable BUNDLE. The default is GPS bundle number 20, which gives solid lines on monochrome displays. The fieldname to plot must be given with the ----ffff flag. This is not optional and there is no default.OOOOPPPPTTTTIIIIOOOONNNNSSSS The following options are supported: ----rrrr _r_e_c_o_r_d ----rrrr _f_i_r_s_t:_l_a_s_t ----rrrr _f_i_r_s_t:+_i_n_c_r Determines the records from which the named _f_i_e_l_d is plotted. In the first form, a single integer identi- fies one record from which _f_i_e_l_d is plotted. The _x - axis shows element number within the field and the _y- axis shows element value. In the second form, a pair of unsigned integers gives the first and last points of the range. If _f_i_r_s_t is omitted, 1 is used. If _l_a_s_t is omitted, the last record in _f_i_l_e._f_e_a is assumed. The third form is equivalent to the first with _l_a_s_t = _f_i_r_s_t + _i_n_c_r. (For example, if _f_i_e_l_d has ten elements and two records are plotted, the _x-axis will be labelled 1-20). ----tttt _t_e_x_t A line of text to be printed below the plot. By default, _p_l_o_t_f_i_e_l_d prints a line giving the fieldname, record number, and file name. An additional line may be printed via the ----tttt option. ----xxxx _d_e_b_u_g__l_e_v_e_l If _d_e_b_u_g__l_e_v_e_l is nonzero, debugging information is written to the standard error output. Default is 0 (no debugging output). ----yyyy _l_o_w:_h_i_g_h Specifies approximate lower and upper limits for the _y-axis. The values are adjusted by _p_l_o_t_f_i_e_l_d in an attempt to make an esthetically pleasing plot. See also the ----YYYY option. If neither ----yyyy or ----YYYY is specified, limits are calculated automatically. ----TTTT _d_e_v_i_c_e _D_e_v_i_c_e may be ggggppppssss, mmmmccccdddd, tttteeeekkkk, or iiiimmmmaaaaggggeeeennnn. The default is ----TTTTmmmmccccdddd,,,, which displays the output on the graphics screen by piping it through _m_c_d(1G). Specifying ---- TTTTggggppppssss sends output to the standard output in Masscomp Unix GPS for- mat.
