.SH DESCRIPTION
.I Spsros
converts an integer (short) format SPS sampled data file into a format
suitable for downloading into a Rosetta using kermit.
.PP
If the input file name is replaced by a "\-" then the standard input
is used.  If the output name is replaced by a "\-" then the standard
output is used.  In either case, a file name or a "\-" must be
specified.

A range of points may be specified with the 
.B \-p
option, using the format
.I start\-end
or
.IR start:end .
Either the start or the end may be omitted; the beginning or the end of the
file are used if no alternate is specified.

The input SD file must be in an integer format.  The file can be
converted to this format with \fIcopysd(1\-SPS)\fR if necessary.
.SH SPS PARAMETERS

The SPS parameter file is not used.
.SH DIAGNOSTICS
The program will print a message and exit if 
.I ifile 
or
.I ofile 
cannot be opened.

The program will print a message and exit if the input SD file is not in
an integer format.

The program will print a warning if the sample frequency is not 8000.
