This dialog box is for specifying the list of resource queries to besent to the node's MOM daemon. This query can be anything from a simpleexpression involving only MOM query keywords (ex. loadave), or tocomplex expressions made up of numerical constants, arithmetic/logical/bitwiseoperators, and MOM keywords (ex. "(loadave/ncpus)*100)"). The valid operatorsare: -,~,*,/,%,+,^,(,),<,>,|,&,=,!, <<, <=, >>, >=, ==, !=, &&, ||. Somepossible query keywords are given in the following, listing also thearchitecture of the host (that is running MOM) where the keyword is valid:Query Keyword MOM-host Architecture-------------- -----------------------------------------------sessions unicos8, sunos4, solaris5, sp2, linux, fujitsu irix6array, irix6,irix5, hpux10, digitalunixpids unicos8, sunos4, solaris5, sp2, linux, irix6array, irix6, irix5, digitalunixnsessions unicos8, sunos4, solaris5, sp2, linux, irix6array, irix6, irix5, hpux10, fujitsu, digitalunixnusers unicos8, sunos4, solaris5, sp2, linux, irix6array, irix6, irix5, hpux10, fujitsu, digitalunixtotmem unicos8, sunos4, linux, irix6array, irix6, irix5, fujitsuavailmem unicos8, sunos4, linux, irix6array, irix6, irix5, fujitsuncpus unicos8, solaris5, linux, irix6array, irix6, irix5, hpux10, fujitsuphysmem unicos8, sunos4, solaris5, linux, irix6array, irix6, irix5, hpux10, fujitsu, digitalunixidletime unicos8, sunos4, solaris5, linux, irix6array, irix6, irix5, hpux10, fujitsu, digitalunixloadave unicos8, sunos4, solaris5, sp2, linux, irix6array, irix6, irix5, hpux10, fujitsu, digitalunixswaprate unicos8swapinrate unicos8swapoutrate unicos8swapused unicos8swapavail unicos8swaptotal unicos8cpusysw unicos8cpuunix unicos8cpuuser unicos8cpuidle unicos8cpuguest unicos8cpuspeed hpux10cputype hpux10,digitalunixplatform hpux10,digitalunixcpuclock digitalunixA description of each keyword is given below:sessions - list of sessions in the systempids - list of pids in a sessionnsessions - number of sessions in the systemnusers - number of users in the systemtotmem - total memory sizeavailmem - available memory sizencpus - number of cpusphysmem - physical memory sizeidletime - seconds of idle timeloadave - current load averageswaprate - swap activity in chars / secswapinrate - swapin activity in chars / secswapoutrate - swapout activity in chars / secswapused - chars swapped outswapavail - chars available in swap areaswaptotal - total chars in swap areacpusysw - percent cpu system waitcpuunix - percent cpu unicoscpuuser - percent cpu usercpuidle - percent cpu idlecpuguest - percent cpu guestThe result of the query (Query_Expr) will be displayed on the node's canvaswith an accompanying text label (Display_Info) and the output format(Display_Type) can be in one of 2 ways: TEXT, SCALE. TEXT means that theresult will be displayed as is, while SCALE will show an actual scaleitem/widget calibrated over 100. For the latter, be sure the result value ofyour query is numeric and that a value of 100 is considered "optimal".So specify the query expression in the Query_Expr entry box, the accompanyingtext label on the Display_Info entry box, and drag the mouse over theDisplay_Type CHOICE entry box and click the left button to display thechoices: {TEXT, SCALE} for the output format of the result. Then click "add"(or simply hit <return>) and watch as your input gets added to the Querieslistbox. For example, if you specified:Query_Expr Display_Info Display_Type--------- ------------ -------------loadave Load Ave: TEXTthen if the result of the query is "0.22", the node's canvas will display:Load Ave: 0.22After putting in all the necessary parameters, then simply click the "ok" buttonfound at the bottom of the dialog box.
