Before installation
------------------------------
Before installing the new version of CGI Expert you must uninstall all previous 
versions and remove any remaining files, to avoid conflicts with different 
versions. Please use the uninstall.exe to do the uninstallation !!
If using Delphi 3-5 or C++Builder 3-4 please remove all prior paths 
to CGIExpert in dialog "Tools - Environment Options - Library - Library Path", 
before installing the 
new version.

After innstallation

If your previous version was 4.0 or earlier please read this carefully:

A few things has changed since version 4.0 and To avoid problems when rebuilding 
your existing projects, please read the following instructions:
1) A few new properties has been added to the TGeneralHttpEngine component,
thus you have to open each Form and DataModule in your project before 
rebuilding. When opening the Forms and DataModules you will be asked to conmfirm
the canges in layout. Please accept thess changes.

2) Coded and CodeKey property of THttpCookie Component has new names and types.
Please accept this changes as well.

Installation of Delphi 3-5 components and Help files
----------------------------------------------------
By running the installation program and following the instructions,
you install CGI Expert. The components and the help file will automatically 
install into Delphi. 

If the installation program of some reason does not automatically 
integrate the components with Delphi, do like this:
1) Run Delphi and select menu option "Component - Install packages"
2) Make sure that the CGI Expert components are not installed but deactivated.
3) Press "Add" and find "CGIExpert.bpl" ("CGIExpert.dpl" if Delphi 3)
4) Press "OK"
 
To install the additional chart components, please uncomment the lines:
//{$DEFINE TEECHART_SUPPORT}
//{$DEFINE CHARTFX_SUPPORT}
//{$DEFINE VCFIRST_SUPPORT}
in the file \CGIExpert\Delphi x.0\cgiexpert.config and then recompile CGI Expert.dpk.

Installation of C++ Builder 3.0 and 4.0 components and Help files
----------------------------------------------------
By running the installation program the help files will automatically 
install into C++Builder 3/4. To install the components please follow these instuctions:

1) Run the installation program and install the C++Builder 3/4 components.
2) Open and compile the file CGIExpert.bpk located in directory \CGIExpert\CBuilder 3.0\
3) Open "components - install packages"
4) Choose "Add" and select file "CGIExpert.bpl" located in directory: 
    C++Builder 4.0: "..\Program Files\C++ Builder 4.0\bin\
    C++Builder 4.0: "..\CGIExpert\CBuilder 3.0\
5) Press "OK"

To install the additional chart components, please uncomment the linse:
//{$DEFINE TEECHART_SUPPORT}
//{$DEFINE CHARTFX_SUPPORT}
//{$DEFINE VCFIRST_SUPPORT}
in the file \CGIExpert\CBuilder 3.0\cgiexpert.config before doing step 1-5.

Installation of Delphi 2.0 components and help files
----------------------------------------------------

Delphi 2.0 components
---------------------
1) Run the installation program that unpacks the CGI Expert files.
2) Open Delphi 2.0 and and select menu option "Component - Install..."
3) Choose Add... and browse the CGI Expert Delphi 2.0 components folder to find the
   "\Comps\Delphi 2.0\HttpReg.pas" file.
4) Press OK - (Ready!)
5) To install the TVCFirstImpression and THttpTeeChart components you repeat 2..4 
   using the files "HVCFirst.pas" and "HTeeCh.pas". 

(note "HTeeCh.pas" is using the shareware charting tool TeeChart not included in 
Delphi 2.0 or C++ Builder but indeed as an light version in Delphi 3.0.

Delphi 2.0 help files

6) Start Help File Installer program (HelpInst.exe) located in the 
   "\Delphi 2.0\Help\Tools" directory or as an icon in the Delphi 2.0 Program Group.
7) Select the menu option "File - Open" and locate the file DELPHI.HDX in 
   your \delphi\bin directory.
8) If previous release installed: Remove the file CGIXPERT.KWF from the files being 
   displayed.
9) Select the menu option "Keywords - Add Keyword File..." and add the file CGIXPERT.KWF,       located in your delphi help directory.  
10) Select the File and Save menu options to save your new settings. (Ready)

Installation of C++ Builder 1.0 components

C++ Builder 1.0 components

1) Run the installation program that unpacks the CGI Expert files.
2) Open C++ Builder 1.0 and select menu option "Component - Install..."
3) Choose Add... and browse the CGI Expert CBuilder  components folder 
   to find the "\Comps\CBuilder\HttpReg.pas" file.
4) Press OK - (Ready!)
5) To install the TVCFirstImpression and THttpTeeChart components you repeat 2..4 
   using the files "HVCFirst.pas" and "HTeeCh.pas". 

Important !!! To install the TVCFirstImpression and THttpTeeChart components 
you repeat the above instructions using the files HVCFirst.pas and HTeeCh.pas.

C++ Builder 1.0 Help files

Automatically installed within the installation program.
