This software pertains to an IEEE 802.11a system. Unzip the winzip file and store the files in the current directory.
The file is "IEEE80211a.mdl" file to be opened using simulink. The model is self-explanatory. It is built up based on the
software techniques discussed in Chapter 7 and 8.
Type "simulink" at the MATLAB command line. This will open up the Simulink Library Browser. Using the File/Open command,
browse to the relevant directory as per details given below and open the relevant "IEEE80211a.mdl" file. Then use the
Simulink/Start command to run the model.
There are "three" versions of the 802.11a physical layer model:
R13/IEEE80211a.mdl:
Requires R13 (MATLAB 6.5) and Stateflow (for adaptive modulation control)
R13/IEEE80211a_NoSF.mdl:
Requires R13 (MATLAB 6.5), but does not require Stateflow.
R13SP1/IEEE80211a.mdl
Requires R13SP1 (MATLAB 6.5.1), but does not require Stateflow.
This latest version also includes some bug fixes.
All Simulink models require the Communications Blockset.
This model has been tested on MATLAB version 6.0 and above with SIMULINK with Communication and DSP blockset options.
