The super-fast 80x86/Pentium KCM and Comba methods are only fully supported
for the Borland C compiler/TASM combination. This is because the modules
mrcomba.c and mrkcm.c require not only in-line assembly, but in-line
macro-assembly. This is supported by the Borland Compiler+TASM, but not by
the Microsoft compiler, which only supports simple in-line assembly.

Fortunately the object formats appear, if not to be the same, at least to be
compatible, so a file compiled by Borland can be linked to by Microsoft.

The following has been tested using Borland C V4.5 32-bit compiler and the TASM
macro-assembler Version 4.1, and Microsoft C++ Versions 5 and 6 32-bit
compilers. Also tested with the latest Borland V5.51 (available free from
www.borland.com - but note that TASM isn't free).

1. Compile config.c using the Borland Compiler.
   d:>bcc32 config.c
2. Run it to generate a mirdef.h file which invokes either the KCM or Comba
   code.
3. Use the Borland C compiler to compile mrkcm.c or mrcomba.c:-
   d:>bcc32 -c -B mrkcm.c, or
   d:>bcc32 -c -B mrcomba
You will need to have the Borland assembler TASM available, as the compiler
passes off the job to the macro-assembler.
4. Create a Microsoft C MIRACL library using the same mirdef.h file and all
the modules specified in miracl.lst, EXCEPT the module mrkcm.c/mrcomba.c
5. Use the Microsoft Librarian utility to insert the appropriate module into
   the library:-
   d:>lib /OUT:miracl.lib miracl.lib mrkcm.obj, or
   d:>lib /OUT:miracl.lib miracl.lib mrcomba.obj
It makes a format change, from OMF to COFF

The miracl.lib file is now ready for use by your Microsoft C/C++ applications.
