目前世界上单核芯CPU最快的是<A

FX57，频率2.8GHZ,
SPECINT分数是1970。而且AMD会很快发布FX60，性能肯定要超2100分。如果按这个数字推算，5GHZ的龙芯才能与<A
href="http://it.sohu.com/3g.shtml">3G</A>HZ的速龙64相当。</P>
<P> 从功耗看，龙芯2C在400MHZ时功耗为3瓦，而AMD的Geode LX
800工作频率为500MHZ，功耗为0.9瓦。</P>
<P> 龙芯的指令集是MIPS，AMD也有MIPS芯片系列。AMD的Alchemy
Au1200就是MIPS。AU1200频率400MHZ时功耗为0.4瓦特，几乎只有同频龙芯的10分之一。而且，AU1200是一个系统（SYSTEM
ON CHIP），集成了一大堆东西在芯片上，包括<A
href="http://act.it.sohu.com/products/priceindex.php?doaction=&subcatid=3&keyword=&manuid=&channel=price&locationid=1">内存</A>控制、加密解密、MPEG2解码、液晶显示控制、USB等等，人家买一块芯片，什么都搞定。价格是20美元。</P>
<P> 从世界计算机发展趋势看，X86有取代其他所有指令集的可能。</P>
<P> 在小型移动装置，如手机、PDA等，ARM架构是主流。MIPS在5年前还用在PDA上，但现在几乎已经没有了。</P>
<P> 在通用计算方面，目前只有三种主要指令，X86、IBM的POWER和SUN 的SPARC。<A
href="http://it.sohu.com/7/0504/09/column220100961.shtml">Intel</A>的IA64搞了10几年，现在一个季度只能卖几台，基本已经死亡。</P>
<P> SPARC在UNIX平台上还有相当<A
href="http://it.sohu.com/market/">市场</A>，SUN将很快推出8核芯、32线程的NIAGRA和更强大的ROCK芯片，估计会给这个一度被认为垂死架构带来新生命。</P>
<P> IBM还在继续开发POWER5＋。在游戏机上，PLAYSTATION 3用的CELL芯片和<A
href="http://it.sohu.com/7/0504/36/column220063691.shtml">微软</A>的XBOX360都是基于POWER。</P>
<P> 剩下就是X86。从理论上说，X86可能是最烂的指令集，但是由于这么多年来微软的垄断导致X86的<A
href="http://it.sohu.com/download/">软件</A>最多，配套<A
href="http://digi.it.sohu.com/diy.shtml">硬件</A>也最广，围绕X86形成了一个巨大规模的产业，其他指令集根本无法与之竞争。而且现在看来，绕过一些常见问题之后，X86也有不少优势。</P>
<P> 在高性能计算方面，X86的领导者就是AMD64的第八代结构，包括皓龙，速龙和闪龙。在很大程度上是ALPHA
