Build options
-------------

The Samba 2.2.7 packages were built on a Solaris 8 system
using both the Sun Forte 6.2 C compiler and the gcc 2.95.3 
compiler.  The following options were enabled 

	--with-acl-support
	--with-winbindd
	--with-included-popt
	--with-msdfs
	--with-pam
	--with-libsmbclient

The 64-bit packages were built using the following environment
variable settings

	CC=cc 
	CFLAGS='-xtarget=ultra2 -xarch=v9a' 

Changes
-------
(2003-03-27)	Correctly install the nss_winbind.so.1 and 
		  pam_winbind.so libraries
		Install the static and shared versions of 
		  libsmbclient into /usr/local/lib and the 
		  header in /usr/local/include


Installation
-------------
Decompress the package file first.  You will need the GNU 
zip program.

	$ gunzip samba-<version>.pkg.gz

Verifying the signatures (you will nee GnuPG installed
for this part):

	$ wget http://www.samba.org/samba/ftp/samba-pubkey.asc
	$ gpg --import samba-pubkey.asc
	$ [gunzip|bunzip2] samba-release.tar.[bz2|gz]
	$ gpg --verify samba-<version>.pkg.asc
	gpg: Signature made Tue 26 Nov 2002 07:12:04 PM CST using DSA key ID 2F87AF6F
	gpg: Good signature from "Samba Distribution Verification Key "
	
Next (as root) use the pkgadd tool to install

	root# pkgadd -d {pkg-name}.pkg
