Description:

This kit contains the microHAL (uHAL) sources for the Intel(R) 
StrongARM(R) SA-1110 development board, based on ARM* Angel 
version 1.2.  
 
This uHAL* Kit consists of the following items:

 - Readme.txt (this file) containing the contents of the kit 
   and instructions on how to install and build the uHal  
   component for the SA-1110 development board.  Please read and 
   follow these instructions before attempting to use this kit.  

 - Readable version of General Software End-User License Agreement 
   (EULA), SWLicense.pdf.

 - SA1110uHAL.zip - a zip file containing the uHAL source
   and build tree for the SA-1110 development board platform.
   Platform specific code can be found in the \DB1110 subdirectories.


Installation:

(1) To create a build area for the uHAL and projects which use it, 
begin by installing uHAL libraries 1.2, available on the Intel website
at www.intel.com/design/strong/swsup.  

(2) Unzip the SA1110uHAL.zip file from this kit and extract the code
onto that uHAL libraries 1.2 installation.  Some files from the uHAL
1.2 installation will and should be overwritten.


Use:

(1) To build the uHAL itself, move into the lib subdirectory that
matches the platform of interest.  Use the ARM Project Manager and the
project file salib.apj.  

Notes:

- The only DB1110 configuration supported is Assabet only.

- We suggest that you build the following demos:
    ucos\<platform>\ping.apj and ucos\<platform>\eg1.apj.

- When building the uHAL library and demos, warnings of the 
  following kind can be ignored:
	Warning: Deprecated form of PSR field specifier used 
		 (use _cxsf)
	Warning: inventing 'extern int LCDPutChar();'
	Warning: variable 'ppar' declared but not used
	Warning: variable 'gafr' declared but not used
	Warning: inventing 'extern int SAr_IsSA1111Present();'
	Warning: unsigned comparison with 0 is always true: '>='
	Warning: static 'SavedIRQMask' declared but not used
	Warning: static 'DispatchSWI' declared but not used
	Warning: static 'DispatchFIQ' declared but not used
	Warning: function 'OSEnter' declared but not used


All other documentation (readmes, etc.) are generic in nature.

compression/decompression promoted by ISO. Implementations of 
MPEG CODECs, or MPEG enabled platforms may require licenses 
from various entities, including Intel Corporation.
