face="宋体">，非</font>3.0<font face="宋体">升级到</font>5.0<font face="宋体">），选择</font>Fresh<font
face="宋体">，按回车键继续；</p>

<li><p align="left">配置基本系统：输入</font>Systemname<font face="宋体">（系统名），</font>Domain
name<font face="宋体">（域名），</font>Security profile<font face="宋体">（安全级别），</font>Time
zone<font face="宋体">（时区）和</font>Language<font face="宋体">（语言），按空格键选择，时区选“</font>Asia<font
face="宋体">”和“</font>China<font face="宋体">”。若对</font>SCO UNIX<font
face="宋体">不是很熟悉，请用缺省值，确定后按回车键继续；</p>

<li><p align="left">进入“</font>Initial System profile<font face="宋体">”界面后，如果以后要在</font>SCO
OpenServer<font face="宋体">上装</font>Informix<font face="宋体">、</font>Sybase<font
face="宋体">等数据库，就将第三项“</font>Database Sevices<font face="宋体">”改为</font>"Yes"<font
face="宋体">，否则用缺省值，按回车键继续；</p>

<li><p align="left">接着进行硬盘规划（</font>Hard disk setup<font face="宋体">）和选择要安装的软件。将光标移到“</font>Hard
disk setup<font face="宋体">”一栏，按空格键进行硬盘划分，再按空格键后，选择“</font>Custom<font
face="宋体">”（此项会破坏硬盘原有的分区上，若不想破坏原有的分区，请选择</font>
inactive<font face="宋体">），按回车键</font>, <font face="宋体">键入</font>SCO
UNIX<font face="宋体">分区的大小值，然后将</font>"swap"<font
face="宋体">子区的值改为内存的两倍，确定后按回车键；回到</font>
"Preparing your disk an choosing software" <font face="宋体">界面后，</font>"option
software…" <font face="宋体">一项用缺省值，按回车键继续；</p>

<li><p align="left">配置网卡、网址、显示卡、鼠标和</font>E-MAIL<font
face="宋体">系统。若不能自动检测到网卡，可在系统装完后用</font>netconfig<font
face="宋体">命令配置；显示卡选用缺省值（</font>IBM VGA<font face="宋体">），装好后可以修改其类型；鼠标如果是串口鼠标，则选</font>Microsoft
serial COM1<font face="宋体">，若为</font>Keyboard Mouse<font face="宋体">（</font>PS/2<font
face="宋体">），则选</font>Hight revolution Keyboard Mouse<font face="宋体">；</font>E-Mail<font
face="宋体">系统选为</font>"send mail"<font face="宋体">；</p>

<li>最后，输入超级用户</font>root<font face="宋体">的密码两次。</font></font></li>
