<a name="overview"><b>Overview</b></a>
SpaceClock is a Windows clock program.
It provides a graphic of the light and dark halves
of the earth as seen from above the North Pole ,
with local times for selected cities .
The main window is re-painted once per minute
with new times and light/dark terminator .
The program uses 24 customizable icons in the system tray ,
at 4 different animation rates .
<a name="configure"><b>Right Click - Configure</b></a>
The same right click popup menu is shared by the main window and the tray icon .
From the popup , use the Configure option to :
- set desired city names for the 24 zones
- change the font used for cities and time
- change the font color used for time
- set the icon period rate
- choose city/zones for the tray tip
<a name="daylight"><b>Daylight Savings</b></a>
The program uses Windows system settings to calculate GMT.
But it has to be told which cities are practicing daylight savings ,
by prefixing the cityname with a '+' .

Note in the <a href="#top">above screenshot</a> that London in April is not GMT .
No wonder I'm time confused .
<a name="graphics"><b>Graphics Files</b></a>
In the same directory with SpaceClock11.exe :
SHOULD BE 24 icons , named g00.ico thru g23.ico.
MUST BE earth.bmp darkbrush.bmp
<a name="iconperiod"><b>Icon Period</b></a>
Controls your tray icon animation rate :
IconPeriod= Day mimics the main display's Sun revolution .
IconPeriod= Hour mimics a common clock's minute hand .
IconPeriod= Minute mimics a common clock's second hand .
IconPeriod= Second provides 24 frame/second animation .
<a name="iconreplace"><b>Icon Replacement</b></a>
When IconPeriod=Day ,
the 24 icons appear during Greenwich Mean hours 00 thru 23 .
As beautiful as they are , they can be modified and replaced .
I need a reminder to watch Charlie Rose at 06:00 GMT ,
so my custom g06.ico is of a sleepy Charlie Rose .
And with IconPeriod=Day , when Charlie's in the tray , I'm watching TV .
If you want an hourly reminder , at some multiple of 2.5 minutes ,
set IconPeriod=Hour , and replace the appropriate icon .
And for real entertainment , set IconPeriod=Second ,
and load in your set of 24 Al Gore Macarena icons .

Unzip the files into their own directory .
Run the program .
<a name="uninstall"><b>UnInstall</b></a>
Delete the spaceclock directory , with the 30 some files .
Delete Registry Branch -- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SpaceClock
