  which is provided with this software. By installing
  this software product, you signify that you agree with
  the terms and conditions provided by the license agreement.

  Note: We keep unique records for every BlogHoster license
  that is purchased. Piracy is not tolerated under any
  circumstances - those who breach the license agreement
  outlined in license.txt will be prosecuted to the fullest
  extent of the law.

>> INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for purchasing a BlogHoster license! Installation of your
BlogHoster system is easy. Your server must meet these requirements:

  - PHP version 4.2.0 or higher must be installed.
  - You must have access to an available MySQL database.

1. Create a folder on your server where the BlogHoster system will
   be placed. For example, "weblogs". Or, if you wish, you can just
   use your HTTP root directory, for example, httpdocs. Remember, a
   file named "index.php" is included with BlogHoster, so if you
   already have a file with this name on your server, you should
   rename it - for example, "home.php".

2. Upload all of the files and folders contained in this zip file
   to your server, except for install.txt and license.txt. Everything
   should be uploaded in ASCII mode, except for the contents of /images/, 
   which should be uploaded in BINARY mode.

3. Set full permissions (CHMOD 777) on mysqlcon.php.
   Set full permissions (CHMOD 777) on the /uploads/ directory.
   Set full permissions (CHMOD 777) on the /uploads/avatars/ directory.

4. Point your browser to where you uploaded install.php, for example:
   http://www.yourdomain.com/weblog/install.php

5. Follow the instructions and input your MySQL database information.
   Once this has completed successfully, follow the provided link to
   login to your Admin Panel. Use the following temporary username and
   password: admin/blog4321

6. After you have logged into your Admin Panel, use the Change Administrator 
   Profile option to change your admin username, password, full name, and
   email address.

>> POST INSTALLATION NOTES

Your BlogHoster system is now installed and ready to accept new users. 
However, you may want to take some time to look over your Admin Panel
and adjust BlogHoster's preferences to suit your needs.

1. If you want to change the way that the user manager, signup, profile,
and login pages look, visit the HTML Settings page. From here, you can
edit the header and footer HTML that is shown on the user interface, 
including all of the CSS styles. Feel free to edit this and give it
the look and feel of your website. If you make a mistake and need to
revert to the defaults, click the Restore Defaults button.

2. Visit the Profile Options and Signup Options pages to configure what
fields users will need to provide during signup, how their profiles will
be displayed, etc.

3. If your server is running Apache and you have mod_rewrite installed,
you can enable the subdirectory-style weblog URLs. This gives your users
shorter, search engine friendly URLs. To enable this feature, visit the
URL Settings page of your admin panel.

Assuming that you have installed BlogHoster in a directory named "weblogs",
these are some important URL examples:

   Admin Panel: http://www.yourdomain.com/weblogs/admin
   User Signup: http://www.yourdomain.com/weblogs/signup.php
    User Login: http://www.yourdomain.com/weblogs/login.php
   User Weblog: http://www.yourdomain.com/weblogs/?u=username
  User Profile: http://www.yourdomain.com/weblogs/profile.php?u=username

If you cannot install your BlogHoster, or are experiencing errors in the scripts' operation, 
do not hesitate to contact us. We provide support at no cost for one (1) month after your 
purchase of the license. Also, if you find a bug at any time, please let us know as soon as 
possible, and we will fix it for free.

Note: If you have made modifications to the PHP code, you may be - at our decision - 
ineligible for our free support service.
