lang=EN-US> </SPAN>众所周知，速度大多是以公里／小时为单位来计算的，如：飞机的速度，坦克的速度等。可是军舰的速度单位为什么是“节”呢？</P>

lang=EN-US>16世纪。海上航行已经十分盛行，但当时苦于没有时钟也没有记录航程的仪器，所以人们无法知道船舶的航行速度。一个聪明的水手想了一个办法，他在船舶前进的时候，把拖有绳索的浮体抛向水面，然后，根据在一定时间里拉出来绳索长度，计算出船舶的速度。由于当时计时使用的是流沙时器，为了便于更准确地计算舰艇的速度，有时放出的绳索比较长。这个水手便在绳索上打出了许多等距离的结。这样，整根计速绳索便被分成了许多节，。只要计算出一定时间里放出的绳索节数，就可以知道船舶的航行速度了。从此以后，“节”便成了舰船速度、水中兵器的速度以及水流速度的计算单位，并且成为国际上通用的航海速度单位。</SPAN></P>

lang=EN-US>1节等于每小时多少公里呢？现在国际上通用的是1节＝1海里／小时，1海里＝1.852公里。1节也就是每小时行驶1.852公里。</SPAN></P>

style="MARGIN-LEFT: 0cm; TEXT-INDENT: 21pt; mso-char-indent-count: 2.0; mso-char-indent-size: 10.5pt">随着科学技术的发展，现在舰船上的计速仪器已经非常现代化了，“抛绳计速”已成为历史，但“节”作为航速单位在今天一直被沿用着，可见其重要性。
