If<i>dirp</i>does not refer to a directory stream, the effect is undefined.<p>After a call to the<i><a href="fork.html">fork()</a></i>function, either the parent or child (but not both) may continue processingthe directory stream using<i><a href="readdir.html">readdir()</a></i>,<i>rewinddir()</i>or<i><a href="seekdir.html">seekdir()</a></i>.
