The application must initialise<i>template</i> to be a filename with six trailing 'X's;<i>mktemp()</i>replaces each 'X' with a single byte character from the portable filenamecharacter set.</blockquote><h4><a name = "tag_000_007_663"> </a>RETURN VALUE</h4><blockquote>The<i>mktemp()</i>function returns the pointer <i>template</i>.
