The SIGABRT signal is sent to the calling processas if by means of<i><a href="raise.html">raise()</a></i>with the argument SIGABRT.<p>The status made available to<i><a href="wait.html">wait()</a></i>or<i><a href="waitpid.html">waitpid()</a></i>by<i>abort()</i>will be that of a process terminated by the SIGABRT signal.
