<br>Also, Jun Inamori has written a great tutorial walkthrough on compiling and installing Apache with Tomcat and JServ at <a href="http://www.oop-reserch.com/tomcat_3_1/." target=_blank>http://www.oop-reserch.com/tomcat_3_1/.</a>

<br>You can add SSL support to a standalone Tomcat (and almost any other server,e.g. IMAP) with OpenSSL and stunnel（ <a href="http://mike.daewoo.com.pl/computer/stunnel/" target=_blank>http://mike.daewoo.com.pl/computer/stunnel/</a> ）. Usually './configure; make; make install' is sufficient.
