     This text contains information on I/O card driver installation
for  current  version of TRACE MODE Real Time Monitor under WINDOWS 
NT.

     1. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
   
     The driver provides the interaction between TRACE MODE RTM and
I/O cards. To ensure normal operation of RTM you need a PC-compatible
computer with the PENTIUM-100 processor or higher; at least 32 MB RAM.
In addition, approximately 0.1 MB disk space is required for the driver
installation.


     2. INSTALLATION PECULIARITIES

     The driver provides data exchange between RTM and ADVANTECH I/O
cards under WINDOWS NT. 

     To install the diver to perform the following operations:

     - copy the portmap.sys file to the .\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS 
       directory;
     - copy the PortMap.dll file to the RTM installation directory;
     - launch the regunreg program with the reg key: 

       regunreg.exe reg.

     The program displays information on any errors occured during 
the installation.

     Now the driver is installed and launched.

     To test the driver to launch the dirbeep.exe program. A special
beep must be heard from the speaker. Initially the frequency of the 
beep increases, and then the frequency decreases.

     To remove the driver from the system to launch the regunreg 
program with the unreg key: 

     regunreg.exe unreg. 

     If the program is completed successfully, the driver is removed
from the system. Otherwise, the program informs you about an error.
