immediately.

The features below are not included in this evaluation version and are only in the
full version. Otherwise VP-ASP Shopping Cart is fully functional.

The following features have been turned off in non registered versions.

International language support is only availble in the registered copy of VP-ASP
this allows you to convert VP-ASP into almost any world language.

1. No E-mail confirmation to merchant and customer will not occur
2. No features for products that are generated as drop down lists
   such as color, size, etc.
3. No Subcategories 
4. No Images for categories and sub categories are not displayed.
5. No Configuration options for buttons are text are ignored.
6. No Shipping Calculation by by weight or quantity
7. No sales reports
8. No stock control or stock reports
9  No free add-ons for Electronic Payment systems such as Authorizenet, eWway,
   Cybercash, Signio, ESEC, Secure Checkout and many others.     
10. No Customer confirmation form not printed for customer
12. No Drop down lists for US states and world countries are not included
13. No Export data for spreadsheet
14. No Mail to customers from the order database
15. No free Design Guide
16. No free upgrades for a year
17. No enhanced security
18. No configuration for ODBC  SQL Server, 
19. No International currencey and date support
20  No International Languages. Convert to Spanish, German, or any language in a few hours
21. No Multicolumn categories and sub categories
22. And many more features that are only in the full version of VP-ASP.

SETUP INSTRUCTION

Setting Up the VP-ASP:
===============================

1. Create a subdirectory under your current web site called "shopping".
2. Unzip all files into the shopping sub-directory.

     VP-ASP is installed

Most files start with the word "shop: they can be installed in any
directory on your web but we recommend creating a subdirectory called shopping.
See supplied VPASP_SETUP.DOC in word format for a more comprehensive set of notes.


3. You can now use the demonstration database. On your PC if you have Microsoft
   Personal Web Server start the shopping by going to 
   http://127.0.0.1/yourweb/shopping

For Windows 95/98 you need Personal web server to run active Server pages.
For Windows NT you need Microsoft Internet Information server

4. VP-ASp comes with a demo store included. You should now b able
   browse product categories and go through the ordering process.

5. Shop admnistration
   To add your own products via the VP-ASp admin system

   http://127.0.0.1/yourweb/shopping/shopadmin.asp
   The userid = vpasp, password = vpasp
   The userid = admin, password = admin       for more control
   These are set in users table of the shopping database and can be altered through access 
   or shopadmin.asp. 

6. Edit the Following information
   a) Your Company information. This is used on mail order forms.
   b) Categories. Add your own.
   c) Products. Add your own.
7. The data file supplied is called shopping.mdb. We recommend you put it in a
   secure location that has write access on your web site.
8. Remember the web hosting company must support Active Server Pages and Microsoft Access
   database or your own PC must have Personal web server. 

Database Errors

These are almost always caused by NT configuration problems related to read/write directories
or not enough authority for the anonymous user IUSR. Check our FAQ on the web for possible
causes.

The only required configuration are in one file called shop$config.asp.
For quick demonstration, no editing is required.
