A logic with a notion of time included. The formulas can express facts about past, present, and future states. The formulas are interpreted over Kripke structures, which can model computation; hence temporal logic is very useful in <a href="formalverf.html" tppabs="http://hissa.nist.gov/dads/HTML/formalverf.html"><em>formal verification</em></a>.
