<strong>Definition:</strong>
An algorithm to <a href="merge.html" tppabs="http://hissa.nist.gov/dads/HTML/merge.html"><em>merge</em></a> <em>N</em> streams.  All the stream heads are compared, and one with the least <a href="key.html" tppabs="http://hissa.nist.gov/dads/HTML/key.html"><em>key</em></a> is removed and written to the output. This is repeated until all queues are empty.
