<strong>Definition:</strong>
A search algorithm which considers neighbors of a <a href="vertex.html" tppabs="http://hissa.nist.gov/dads/HTML/vertex.html"><em>vertex</em></a>, that is, outgoing <a href="edge.html" tppabs="http://hissa.nist.gov/dads/HTML/edge.html"><em>edges</em></a> of the vertex's predecessor in the search, before any outgoing edges of the vertex. Extremes are searched last. This is typically implemented with a <a href="queue.html" tppabs="http://hissa.nist.gov/dads/HTML/queue.html"><em>queue</em></a>.
