Garble is a C++ program for transferring data to and from Garmin GPS

Here are some things that need to be added to Garble v1.0:

1. support for uploading data to the GPS -- this requires defining
some format for the waypoints, routes, tracks, etc. 

2. support for user defined output formats -- perhaps allowing printf
style format strings as parameters?

3. support for richer data -- e.g. have the underlying library support
more GPS units, and build in some mechanism for dynamically specifying
the datatypes supported by the GPS and the library.  libtiff has this
sort of support for tiff files, perhaps there are some ideas to be use
from that?

4. split out into driver program and library.

5. Win32 support.  Mac Support.  RPM.  Other Unices.  configure?
