I'm putting ChatServer out there for public consumption because I
don't have the time to properly outfit it with a client-side applet
or an administrative console.  You're welcome to utilize this
application in part or in whole for personal or commercial gain. 

Please contact me if you're going to use this application for
commercial purposes -- I'm not going to discourage it's use but I
would like to know how it's being used.


Use:
----

ChatServer takes a port number as it's only argument.  For example:

  >java ChatServer 9898

Launches ChatServer on port 9898.  Once the server is running,
connect to it with an applet or by telneting directly to that port.
I'm not sure how far or well this application will scale -- your
feedback here would be very welcome.

The server communicates connections and errors via the console.

 (Windows Telnet won't echo text as you type, but the ChatServer
  will bounce it to you)

After connecting to ChatServer, you or your applet will be prompted
for a name.  After sending a name/alias you console will be
connected and all chat participants will see the new users
connection.

Sending 'exit' (w/o the quotes) to the server will disconnect your
session.
