<p><FONT class=normalfont><B><font color=blue>扮靓你的Red Hat Linux 7.2</font></B></FONT><BR><FONT class=smallfont color=#ff9900>2004-04-23 15:18 pm</FONT><BR><FONT class=normalfont>作者：作者<br>来自：Linux知识宝库<br>联系方式：无名<br><br>在Linux的各种发行版本中，Red Hat Linux可谓是龙头老大，可惜过去Red Hat Linux没有简体中文支持，令许多Linux初学者望而却步。2001年，Red Hat 7.2版本发布，令人振奋的是在安装时终于加入了简体中文语言。不过默认的中文字体不仅种类少而且丑陋不堪。本文向读者介绍了扮靓你的Red Hat的各种方法。<br>
第一步(可选)：在安装过程中选择语言时，勾选Simplified Chinese。如果你原意的话，最好将系统的默认语言指定为简体中文。<br>
第二步:在Linux的文件系统中显示中文<br>
有时会遇到这样的问题：文件和目录名的中文显示为乱码，怎么解决呢？其实很简单，只需修改/etc/fstab文件，将需要显示中文文件系统的分区，例如/dev/hda6(我的windows的E盘)对应的行/dev/hda6 /wine vfat defaults 0 0 改为 /dev/hda6 /wine vfat defaults, codepage=936,iocharset=cp936 0 0。不要着急看结果，只有在系统重启后，所作的修改才能生效。<br>
第三步:实现漂亮的simsun字体<br>
Window下漂亮的simsun让人印象颇深，照下面的步骤去作，你也可以在Linux上应用simsun字体。<br>
1.将Linux下/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType目录中的几个字体文件都删除，把windows下的字体simsun.ttf(windows 2000中为simsun.ttc)复制到Linux下的下面。当然你也可以复制其他你喜欢的字体，例如Georgia，verdana等。 然后在该目录下执行命令ttmkfdir> fonts.dir，修改生成的fonts.dir里的这一行 simsun.ttf -misc-SimSun-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-koi8-r 为 simsun.ttf -misc-SimSun-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-gbk-0 (不肯定这个修改是否是必须的)。 <br>
2.修改/etc/X11/XF86config-4,修改后的结果如下：<br>

3.让gnome使用simsun的TrueType字体<br>
修改/etc/gtk/gtkrc。zh_CN，让gtk使用TrueType字体。修改后的结果如下:<br>

4.让KDE使用simsun的TrueType字体。在KDE菜单中选择system(系统)->Desktop Setting Wizard(桌面设置向导)，将国家和语言分别设置为China(cn)和Simplified Chindse(GB2312.1980.0)，这时可能会显示乱码，没关系，重新启动x-windows就可以了。 选择preferences(选项)->Look and Feel(观感)->Fonts(字体)，将字符集选为gb2312.1980-0，除等宽字体外其余均设置为simsun 大小为9点。<br>
第四步:尽善尽美<br>
windowsXP推出后，其唯美的界面令linux大为逊色，不过现在有一个KDE主题，可以让你在linux下享受windowsXP的美丽界面。到http://www.themes.org/themes/kde/ 下载这个主题Luna 2.x-Style。解压，选择preferences(选项)->Look and Feel(观感)->Theme Manager(主题管理程序)，选添加，找到你届压后生成的主题文件(*.theme)，确定。看看你的KDE不就是一个Windows XP吗。<br>
