Redhat中的集群提供数据与服务的高可用性，可以使用盘柜，进行电源的管理，也可以进行Server之间的failover的切换，可以满足一些企业的需求。集群可以就用在数据库服务，文件服务器，WWW服务器等应用服务器上，可以实现负载均衡。他是基于Linux的LVS的基础上开发而来，同时又增加了数据的可靠性和服务的可用性，还有负载均衡。 <br>

2．特点： <br>
（1）将形成没有单点硬件故障的系统 <br>
集群将利用独立的服务器，形成一个具体彼此互连的整体，可以避免的因为一台机器down掉而造成数据丢失，服务停止。同时是低成本，高可用性的集群服务。 <br>
（2）服务的高可用性 <br>
集群可以让管理员轻松地将独立的服务联合起来，保证数据的安全性和服务的可用性。为了搭建一个服务，管理员必须此服务的资源与一些必要的属性，如服务的名字，启动停止的脚本，硬盘的分区等。 <br>
（3）数据的高可靠性 <br>
（4）提供简捷的用户管理接口 <br>
（5）多集群互通（这个功能没有研究过） <br>
（6）服务的Failover切换 <br>
当集群中提供服务的一台服务器出了问题的时候，在集群中会自动将用户过来访问的请求发到集群中其他的机器上来处理。当这个服务器的系统起来后，可以读写有关集群的Quotum（裸设备）的时候，将自动读取有关集群的相应信息，自动加入到本集群中。 <br>
（7）可以同时提供多种服务 <br>
（8）事件日志功能 <br>
（9）应用服务的监测功能 <br>
（10）状态的监测功能 <br>

3．最小的硬件环境： <br>
2台Server（原则上需要两块网卡） <br>
